Cements & Liners
2 Products
Dental cements and liners bond restorations in place and protect the pulp, making them essential for crowns, bridges, fillings and provisional work.
What Are Dental Cements and Liners?
Cements secure indirect restorations such as crowns, bridges, inlays and posts to tooth structure. Liners and bases are placed under restorations to protect the pulp, reduce sensitivity and seal dentin.
Temporary vs. Permanent Cement
Temporary cements hold provisional restorations for days or weeks and are designed for easy removal. Permanent cements, including resin, glass ionomer and resin-modified glass ionomer, are chosen for long-term retention. Non-eugenol temporary cements are often used when a resin-based final cement will follow.
Choosing a Cavity Liner
Light-cure liners set on demand and are easy to place in thin layers. Clinicians look for good adhesion, radiopacity for clear X-ray visibility and compatibility with the restorative material going on top.
